OUR STORY
Braiders Club was founded by Merryday Obaseki, a licensed cosmetologist with over 15 years of experience in the hair industry. Her journey began between Dallas, Texas and Nigeria, where she developed a deep appreciation for braiding as more than a hairstyle, it is culture, community, and a meaningful form of expression passed down through generations.
Before launching Braiders Club, Merryday built a strong reputation in Dallas, cultivating a loyal clientele while also establishing a global presence through digital education. As an early educator of knotless braids, she played a role in shaping one of the most sought-after styles in
the industry today.
In 2021, she expanded to Lagos, Nigeria to open the first Braiders Club location, creating a structured, professional environment that reimagined the traditional braiding experience. The salon quickly gained international attention, with clients traveling across borders to experience its elevated approach to service and care.
Today, Braiders Club is expanding back to Dallas, bringing its proven model to the U.S. and continuing to build a brand rooted in culture, professionalism, and opportunity.
